TRACEY HUTCHEON Counsellor and Psychotherapist
  • Everyone deserves to be happy from all walks of life, and I was sceptical when considering if therapy was right for me or if I was cut out for it. Therapy is a powerful process which everyone can benefit from in their own way, and it was a privilege being a returning client of Tracey’s. I would highly recommend Tracey as a Therapist or to anyone who is considering the idea of starting therapy for the first time. She always created a safe non-judgmental space for my sessions, listened sensitively, and challenged me on my views for my own personal growth. I felt lost, frustrated, exhausted and unhappy for many years and struggled with suicidal thoughts. Tracey guided me at my own comfortable pace to get in touch with my emotions and how to understand them. Connect with my inner child and look at my thoughts of poor self-esteem and anxiety with a different perspective. With these skills I learned how to trust and be kind to myself. It’s a great feeling having a calm mind and a feeling of confidence. Thank you, Tracey.

  • Working with Tracey has been one of the most grounding and transformative experiences of my life. From the very beginning, I felt completely safe in her presence. Her space was always non‑judgmental, calm, and supportive, giving me the freedom to open up in ways I never had before. Tracey supported me through some incredibly tough times, offering encouragement and guidance when I needed it most. She gave me practical tools that helped me navigate difficult moments and equipped me to handle life’s challenges with more clarity and resilience. Over time, she helped me build my confidence and find a sense of contentment within myself that I didn’t think was possible. I am forever grateful to Tracey for her patience, her understanding, and the steady support she offered throughout my journey. The impact she has had on my life will stay with me always.

  • Contacting Tracey has turned out to be one of the very best decisions I have made. Even from speaking with her on the first initial telephone call I felt reassured and in safe hands. That reassurance and confidence grew even more on meeting with Tracey, and I felt able to talk to her openly in a very safe and comfortable space. Her knowledge and expertise were obvious throughout the process and the techniques she used really opened my eyes to see things from a different perspective. However, it is also her knowledge coupled with the level of care, understanding and sensitivity that she herself brings that made a big difference for me. I have now been able to heal wounds that I thought were beyond repair. I certainly wouldn't have any hesitation in making contact again in the future if needed.

  • To anyone who has reservations, as I did, about reaching out for support in the form of counselling please don't hesitate as Tracey is not only one of the loveliest people you will ever meet but is truly brilliant at what she does. Tracey's warm, kind personality and homely consulting room instantly made me feel at ease and able to chat openly with her about what was going on with me. We gently peeled back the layers of hurt that I had been carrying around for so long and Tracey helped me realise how this had been impacting on multiple areas and relationships in my life. Tracey then worked with me to let go of the hurt and helped me to move forward. I now feel so much lighter, more confident and am beginning to feel much more like my old self again. Thank you, Tracey, for helping me to find my true self again.

  • Tracey has helped me with so much, not only did she help me through the hard parts of life, but I also felt heard throughout the time that I had my counselling with her. For the longest time I wasn’t ready to accept the help that I needed to overcome my anxiety, when I did eventually want the help I still had some doubts and was worried about opening up to someone new. Tracey was amazing at not only listening and understanding the way that I was feeling but also challenging my thoughts and making me really think why I was feeling certain emotions. Before I started my sessions with Tracey, I wasn’t attending school, I was spending little to no time with my friends and loved ones unless it was in the comfort of my own home, and I was frightened of the anxiety itself. I have now been back at school for two months, and I will be sitting my prelims soon! I am rarely home now as I am seeing loads of my friends and family. None of this ever felt achievable before I met Tracey. 🙂

  • Tracey has been an outstanding counsellor for me. In the beginning, I would start my sessions by saying 'I don't have anything to talk about', yet an hour would fly by with me having spoken for the full time. She has an amazing way of making you feel comfortable, in a space with absolutely no judgement. Tracey is understanding, compassionate and takes her time to really understand who you are as an individual. I've been to Tracey on and off over the years and despite months/years of a gap, she has always made time for me. She's helped me to become the best version of myself and I can't thank her enough!

  • Tracey has the patience of a saint mixed with a beautiful, kind heart that created a space which allowed me to share my most vulnerable moments. Through doing this, she helped me work through the toughest challenges I have faced in life and helped open my eyes to the truth. She allowed me the time and space when I needed it but also challenged me to really face some demons just at the right time. Tracey made me feel seen and supported on my journey. She gained my trust then handled my heart with the greatest of care, while she helped me heal.

  • When I first started with Tracey I was feeling a bit lost in my thoughts, some grief had been triggered and I needed help to unpick it. I feel we clicked quickly and I felt very comfortable opening up. Tracey is a great listener and can read through the lines without judgement. By working together she helped me piece together my thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences. Recognising some of my behaviour patterns and reasons behind them. Overall a very positive experience that not only helped reach my goals but improved my own self-awareness and helped me in my own development journey.

  • I was nervous to start counselling, but Tracey made me immediately feel at ease in her presence. Her knowledge and experience in her field shines through and with her help I have now made great leaps to recovering from a severe bout of anxiety. I cannot thank her enough!

  • I first sought out Tracey’s help when my son was having issues controlling his behaviour at school. We started seeing Tracey each week and she worked through triggers, offered strategies for him to use. My son connected well with Tracey and she offered a kind, safe space for him to be open and honest. My son has recently started back at school and his teacher has commented that she enjoys having him in class and that he is like a different boy. Tracey has been the difference between me dreading my son going to school due to fearing how he would behave, to now looking forward to hearing all about his day and the achievements he has made. I cannot thank her enough for giving me my happy little boy back!

  • Tracey offers support with genuine warmth and kindness. While working through difficult issues we even found moments of humour.

  • After working with Tracey, I can honestly say, she has helped me immensely. Her approach & kind demeanour make me feel safe & respected. Her understanding that my Neurodiversity means I might not fit a template, has been refreshing & reassuring. I could not recommend her highly enough.

  • I wish I could express how truly grateful and privileged I feel for meeting Tracey and having her support. It has made a huge difference to my life. I would never have imagined I could feel so much lighter and worthy of a guilt and shame free life. It takes a special kind of person to do your job and you are that incredible kind of person.

  • Tracey was kind, supportive and understanding throughout my appointments with her. She was amazing, and gave me tools to help combat my anxiety an it’s triggers. She was very easy to talk to and was very adaptive with each session. I have grown confidence and have healed a lot over the last few months thanks to her.

It’s time to take the next step.
